Easyskanking play an eclectic mix of foot tapping ska tunes (from the 1960/70s) and well-known classics plundered from the easy listening vaults and rendered danceable in a ska/rocksteady/reggae style. A typical set includes songs ranging from Desmond Dekker’s ‘Israelites', through ‘Monkey Man’, via a reggae rendition of ‘Walking in the Air’ and over to a rather surreal delivery of Katy Perry’s ‘I Kissed a Girl’.
If you can hum it, we’ll skank it!
Easyskanking features musicians who have toured extensively in the UK and Europe. Previous incarnations have headlined and sold out at the Forum, the Marquee and have played at major festivals including Edinburgh Fringe, Brighton and Guilfest.
